An ASIAPRESS reporting partner reported that a political lecture was held on March 9 for officials above the rank of junior Party member; the lecture lasted 40 minutes and was titled “The General with excellent insight in diplomacy.”
According to a high-ranking official who attended the lecture, the content was on the great achievements of the great general Kim Jong-un who, through the talk (with the special envoy from the South),is moving to defeat the enemy’s schemes to oppress the DPRK by economic sanctions. There seems to be no explanation about the summit meeting between the South and North, nor between North Korea and the US.
Separate lectures for ordinary people were also held. All the residents in North Korea are organized by unit of school, work place or region. Once a week, they are obliged to attend a “Saenghwal Chonghwa” which requires every attendee to do a self-examination of their behavior. The reporting partner explained that the subject of the study meeting of March 10 was the world’s focus on North Korea, a country overcoming power nations’ economic sanctions. As expected, they only briefly mentioned about the special envoy from the South.
