During its border reporting operations, ASIAPRESS frequently captured images of children near the border. This video shows North Korean children mobilized for various types of labor along the Yalu River in Sakju County, North Pyongan Province, during the period from 2023 to 2025.
Boys carrying water jugs can be seen coming down the mountain, while middle school girls carry sacks of grass for feeding rabbits. The children were also mobilized to transport bales of corn stalks, which are used as livestock feed or heating fuel.
Under the pretext of "cultivating a love for labor" North Korean authorities mobilize children for various types of labor.
Even while working near electrified barbed wire fences marked with "High Voltage Warning" signs, the children maintain cheerful expressions.
Further details can be viewed in the video. (ASIAPRESS)
